Thermo Scientific Cellome Award 2012

2012 Cellome Award Winner.

This year our winner is Gabor Foldes working in the lab of Sian Harding’s team at Imperial College’s National Heart & Lung Center in the UK has established a model for studying hypertrophy in hESC Cardiomyocytes which will have an impact in cardiac pathology studies, cardiotoxicity assessment as well as drug discovery. High-content measurements of hypertrophy using the Arrayscan* VTI HCS Reader form the basis of this model and would allow the model system to be used at high-throughput to investigate cardiac pathologies, screen for cardiac modulating drugs as well as test the toxicity of compounds in a more relevant system. This paper and Gabor Foldes are our 2012 Cellome Award Winner. click the Learn More button to link to the paper.
